Welcome

Thank you for visiting the St. Stephen Orthodox Church website. We hope you will find our site informative and edifying. We also would like to extend our invitation to join us for one of our liturgical services- services that have have been part of the worshipping tradition of Christianity since the disciples themselves were given the commandment to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19)

Our parish is part of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America, which in turn is part of the Patriarchate of Antioch, where St. Luke in the Book of Acts tells us that believers were mockingly called “Christians” for the first time (Acts 11:26).

Our parish was also part of the Evangelical Orthodox Church (EOC) movement that began in the 1970’s throughout the United States and Canada, and in 1987, by the grace of our Lord, was brought into Holy Orthodoxy under the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America. Under the blessed pastorship of our first priest, Very Rev. Father Andrew Moore, our parish became more than just a place where people come to worship the living God (although it is foremost that!). St. Stephen is a vibrant faith community where people of all ages and backgrounds come together, as the family of God, to work out their faith and raise their families in accordance with the commandments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the sacred norms for spiritual life of the Holy Orthodox Church.

We have many people at St. Stephen that journeyed to the Orthodox Church from other Christian traditions at different stages in they life, along with many people who have been Orthodox their whole life. Whether you are on a journey or just wanting to visit a local Orthodox parish you will be, and are, welcome at St. Stephen. We are always honored to have visitors join us for prayer and worship.
